A bold client with eclectic taste was the dream job for an interior designer who loves a challenge!

Having recently downsized the family home they were embracing the newfound freedom that CBD apartment living affords. This well-travelled couple couldn’t live with the stark white interior so issued a direction to go bold and contemporary. Walls were painted with textured black paint, doors were painted red, blue and gold. An extensive book collection became a work of art, with floor to ceiling bookshelves lining the entrance corridor.

Art and curiosities collected over a lifetime were proudly displayed on custom shelves and a vintage chest of drawers could be seen from a walk-in wardrobe we designed out of square profile steel.

The end result was an exotic apartment that told the story of a life well-lived!
